I've been with DM Contact Management since shortly after it was founded in 2001. The company has grown to a network of more than 100 websites and monthly revenue in the millions. Originally hired as an application designer, my position evolved over the years along with the technology we used. Ultimately, I became the CTO in 2007. Deeds Delivery was a small delivery company in Victoria, BC, Canada. I was contracted to migrate the company from clipboard management to a solution to not only improve their internal efficiency, but to also allow for integrations into some of the larger partnered client companies. I created a custom application website to track, manage and report on all deliveries for the drivers. It had portals for drivers, for supervisors and for the clients. It integrated with Google Maps to aid in deliveries and managed payouts to the drivers through extensive reporting. It effectively revolutionized the company and allowed for bringing on more clients that were previously unavailable to them. Even after the company was sold, the owner continued to license the software to other similar businesses. |
